THE CHALLENGE
Use blockchain technology to build the future of finance and trade networks.
Developers, students and aspiring entrepreneurs will have 24 hours to showcase their skills and vision for the next generation of financial services and global supply chains. The in-person competition is being held at St. Louis’s world-class start-up accelerator venue T-REX, and will be judged by a panel of experts from the industry and leading venture capital firms looking for the the next big disruptive ideas. Teams must be present to pitch to the judges and be eligible for a prize, no onlien submissions will be accepted this time.

Day One Sunday, June 12th

12:00pm - 12:30pm Introduction, initial remarks, hacking guidelines announced, special prizes announced
12:30pm - 1:00pm Team formation
1:00pm Hackathon starts
1:30pm - 2:30pm Optional intro to blockchain programming session by Eris Industries

Day Two Monday, June 13th
2:00am Redeye Snack Session

4:30pm - 6:00pm Hackathon Reception with winners announced

We believe technology should be built by people with different backgrounds and perspectives. All are welcome and we’d love to have a diverse, comfortable creative environment for everyone!
Requirements
The judges will award the first place prize to the team that builds the best application of blockchain technology. All submissions must be posted on Devpost.
Prizes
$25,000 in prizes
Grand Prize
$20k USD total paid in Bitcoin preloaded on a KeepKey and admission to the Distributed: Trade conference for up to 4 team members.
$2,500 Runner-up Prize
$2,500 Thomson Reuters Challenge prize
The winner was also awarded with mentorship & opportunity to pitch to St Louis Arch Angels group.
